Most patients read, work on their laptop, or watch videos during the procedure. After the applicator is removed, the treated area is massaged for 2 minutes which can be mildly uncomfortable but is brief.

Larger areas or patients wanting more dramatic results may return for a second session 8–12 weeks later. I-Lipo is a low-level laser therapy that uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate fat cells and cause them to release their contents — similar to what happens during exercise. The released fat is then processed naturally by the lymphatic system. Unlike CoolSculpting, I-Lipo works over a series of sessions and is best for patients who want gradual inch loss.

Most patients do 6–10 sessions, scheduled 2–3 times per week. Each session is 20–30 minutes per area. We recommend exercising for 30 minutes after each session to help metabolize the released fat contents for maximum results.

No. I-Lipo is completely painless. Most patients describe feeling a mild warmth during the session. There is zero downtime — you can exercise immediately after, which is actually encouraged to maximize results.
